Julian Draxler desperate to leave Wolfsburg

Germany International Julian Draxler has put Premier League clubs on alert by revealing he wants to quit Wolfsburg in January. 

The 23-year-old was booed by his own fans after being brought on as a substitute in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at home to Hertha Berlin. 

Draxler, a one-time target for Arsenal , later admitted he wants to leave his club as soon as possible. 

The German said: 

“I don’t think I need to tell anybody what [being booed] does to a person - it certainly doesn’t help you. 

“There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field. 

“I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.” 

Draxler revealed during the summer that he wanted to leave Wolfsburg straight away, but the club blocked an immediate departure.
