Roy Keane offers advice to Dele Alli ahead of Man United v Tottenham

Roy Keane has told Dele Alli to keep his temper in check as Tottenham prepare for their trip to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. 

Alli has earned something of a reputation for having an edge to his game despite earning plenty of new admirers for his sparkling displays for Tottenham in recent months. 

Dele has occasionally been at the centre of some confrontations with opponents on the pitch during games for Spurs. 

Former Manchester United captain Keane warned that he must keep control of his emotions at all times. 

Speaking to ITV Sport, Keane said: “I think he needs that edge to his game. The last few years I’ve been looking at him he seems to have that, he gets involved in stuff. 

“Sometimes you think he shouldn’t get involved in some of the stuff but I think it adds to his game. When he’s on edge or a little bit angry he seems to play better. 

“As long as he doesn’t get involved in too much immature stuff…”
