Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City: Gunners go Top
Arsenal kept the pressure on Premier League leaders Chelsea with a comeback victory over Stoke at the Emirates.

The Londoners found themselves a goal down after 30 minutes courtesy of a soft penalty decision – Granit Xhaka apparently fouling Joe Allen in the box and Charlie Adam coolly opening the scoring from the spot on his birthday.

But Theo Walcott soon pulled Arsenal deservedly level on the stroke of half-time with a neat close-range finish from Hector Bellerin’s fine right-wing cross.

Arsene Wenger’s men then took the lead shortly after the re-start through a brilliant Mesut Ozil goal - the German looping a header over Stoke goalie Lee Grant after a Ozil-esque ball over the top from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The remaining minutes weren’t plain sailing for the Gunners, with Stoke going close of a few occasions and Peter Crouch almost scoring with his first touch after coming off the bench.

But the three points were sealed with 15 minutes to play thanks to a clinical breakaway goal from Alex Iwobi – the win seeing the Gunners move level with Chelsea on 34 points, before the Blues play West Brom on Sunday.
