Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa: Giroud bags a hat-trick as Gunners finish above Tottenham

French International Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick and a late own goal from Mark Bunn handed Arsenal a 4-0 win over Aston Villa - and second place in the final Premier League table. 

Arsenal's victory, combined with Tottenham's 5-1 defeat at Newcastle, ensured Arsene Wenger's men finish above their north London rivals yet again. 

Olivier Giroud handed his side an early lead, heading home from close range, before doubling the advantage midway through the second half. 

And within minutes, he had his 16th league goal of the campaign, before Mikel Arteta's late effort was diverted into his own net by keeper Bunn.
