The latest on Jamie Vardy’s proposed transfer to Arsenal

Arsenal target Jamie Vardy is set to keep the gunners waiting until after Euro 2016 as he ponders a summer transfer to the north London club, according to reports. 

The gunners have been heavily linked with a move to bring the striker to The Emirates in recent days after they reportedly triggered the £20m release clause in the forward’s contract. 

Arsenal are reported to have offered Vardy a lucrative four-year contract to move to Emirates Stadium this summer. 

However, with the 29-year-old now on international duty with England in the lead-up to Euro 2016, it appears that he is ready to keep Arsenal waiting. 

According to BBC Sport, Vardy’s representatives have told Arsenal the striker wants to focus on Euro 2016. 

The striker does not want to discuss a possible move until after this summer’s tournament in France.
