Arsenal have been told that they will need to cough out £7m to sign defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers, according to reports.
The gunners are believed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Arsenal came in for criticism last season for failing to sustain a Premier League title challenge as they finished 10 points behind Leicester City in the table.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be a keen admirer of Holding and according to reports, Arsenal had an initial bid of £750,000 rejected by Bolton.
The same story says that Bolton have told Arsenal that they will need to pay at least £7m to lure the 20-year-old to Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal, however, are believed to be willing to only increase their offer for the player to £2m.
