Leicester City submit fresh £22m bid for CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa

Leicester have submitted a fresh bid of £22million to land CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa. 

Sportsblog360 revealed in January that the Foxes were targeting the Nigeria International to support Jamie Vardy up front. 

Ahmed Musa has since told the Russian title winners that he wants to move to the King Power stadium. 

The 23-year-old scored 18 goals to help his side win the league ahead of FC Rostov. 

CSKA rejected Leicester’s offer of around £17million during the mid-season transfer window, insisting they were not willing to lose him at that point. 

However,they are now ready to do business and CSKA Moscow manager Leonid Slutskiy has confirmed the Foxes have submitted a revised offer of €30m. 

Speaking to Russian sports channel Match TV, CSKA boss Slutsky said: 

"The British club offered a bit less than E30million [£22.86million]. 

"A few days ago, Musa approached me and asked: 'When is he [Claudio Ranieri] back from holiday?' I told him: 'I am not Ranieri, I do not know.' 

"I do not know for sure [if Leicester have resumed negotiations] because these negotiations are dealt with by management, but I think the probability is very high."
