Manchester United set to bid for Southampton striker Sadio Mane

Manchester United are ready to table a bid for Southampton forward Sadio Mane, according to The Sun. 

Sadio Mane, who can operate anywhere across the front line, is being lined up as a replacement for Memphis Depay, who has failed to impress since his big money move from PSV. 

Earlier reports suggested Southampton want £30 million for the Senegalese, though the Red Devils will test the Saints' resolve with an opening bid of £25m. 

Despite a lack of Champions League football, the Red devils are confident they can land the 24-year-old.
