OFFICIAL: Arsenal sign Granit Xhaka

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Swiss International Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach. 

Granit Xhaka's switch to the Premier League is understood to be in the region of £30million. 

The 23-year-old played more than 100 games for Monchengladbach after arriving from Basel in 2012 and captained the Bundesliga club to a fourth place finish last season. 

The Switzerland international is the first signing made by Arsene Wenger this summer. 

He will officially join the club on July 1 and will head to north London after this summer's European Championship.
