OFFICIAL: Rangers sign Joey Barton

Scottish outfit Rangers have completed the signing of free agent Joey Barton. 

Barton has agreed a two-year deal with the Scottish giants after opting not to extend his stay at Burnley. 

The midfielder played a key role in Burnley's promotion last season and had been offered a 12-month deal. 

Barton said: "Things in life just happen at the right time and you’re in the right place sometimes, and I feel this was a real case of that.”
