Photos: Real Madrid celebrate Champions League win with open-top bus parade

After partying long into the night, Real Madrid have celebrated their historic Champions League win with an open-top bus parade through Madrid. 

Real Madrid flew home from Milan following the penalty shootout win over rivals Atletico and wasted no time in boarding a bus to show off the trophy to thousands of jubilant fans who lined the streets of the Spanish capital. 

The Bernabeu outfit won their eleventh European by beating city rivals Atletico on penalties after a hugely engrossing final at the San Siro on Saturday evening. 

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winning penalty after the two sides could not be separated following 120 minutes of high drama in Milan. 

Sergio Ramos had given Real the lead after just 15 minutes, as the Bernabeu side looked by far the stronger team in the opening half. 

Diego Simeone's introduction of Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco at the break proved to be crucial though, as the Belgian winger scored an equaliser with eleven minutes of normal time remaining to force the extra period. 

With both sides struggling with fatigue in the sweltering heat, it took penalties to separate the two rivals and Juanfran proved to the heartbroken man, as he saw his penalty hit the post before Ronaldo stepped up and sealed his third Champions League win.
