Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Borussia Dortmund confirmed that the midfielder won’t be signing a new contract.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months amid initial interest Chelsea.
However, the Blues appear to be facing competition for the midfielder after Arsenal and Manchester United emerged as potential destinations for the 27-year-old.
The Armenia International scored 11 times and wrapped up 15 assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances for the German outfit last season.
Dortmund chief executive Hanz-Joachim Watzke confirmed that Mkhitaryan has turned down the chance to extend his contract amid interest from the Premier League.
