Chelsea contact Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda

Chelsea have made contact with representatives of Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda according to reports. 

Steve Mandanda is currently representing France at Euro 2016 but is permitted to negotiate with clubs as his eight-year spell with Marseille is set to end upon the expiration of his contract on June 30. 

Chelsea's interest in the 31-year-old throws Asmir Begovic's future up in the air just one year after signing from Stoke City for a reported £8 million. 

Meanwhile,an unspecified Ligue 1 side are also in talks, but Mandanda himself has recently expressed an interest in moving to England or Spain.
