Manchester United defender Daley Blind wants to be given the opportunity to play at centre-back under new manager Jose Mourinho.
Blind has been tipped for a move away from Old Trafford during the upcoming transfer window amongst rumours of a summer clear-out by Mourinho.
However, the natural midfielder insists he has done enough to prove that he can succeed as a Premier League centre-back.
“I think I’ve shown I can defend as well as a central defender in the Premier League,” Blind.
“I think he’s a coach who’s achieved a lot and I’m very excited to work with someone like him. I’m going do my best and work very hard.
“If you look at our defending statistics at United, we had the most clean sheets and conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League.”
