Arsene Wenger confirms he will sign a striker before end of transfer window
Arsene Wenger has finally admitted that Arsenal are trying to sign a striker this summer.

The Gunners, who have added Granit Xhaka, Tasumo Akano and Rob Holding this summer, have Olivier Giroud as their only experienced forward with fellow front man Danny Welbeck ruled out until the New Year.

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis admitted earlier this week the club can't afford to outspend their big spending rivals in the transfer market.

But, speaking after watching his side beat the MLS All-Stars in San Jose, Arsene Wenger revealed he remains interested in adding another attacking player before the deadline next month.
"At the moment I have not too many attacking options in terms of experienced players," he said.

"But let's not forget we still have a few players at home.

"There are also a few players who did not play [against the MLS All-Star team], like [Santi] Cazorla and of course [Mesut] Ozil and [Aaron] Ramsey are at home. [Olivier] Giroud is also not here.

"So we have options but we will still look outside to find one more."
