Atletico Madrid unveil New signing Nicolas Gaitan

Atletico Madrid finally unvieled midfielder Nicolas Gaitan on Tuesday, a month after signing him from Benfica for 25million euros (£21m). 

Gaitan, who is now in Spain after playing for Argentina at the Copa America, will help reinforce Diego Simeone's side that reached the final of the Champions League and finished third in La Liga last season. 

Speaking at Atletico's Vicente Calderon stadium, Gaitan said: 

"I know that Atletico has been interested in me for some years. It is one of the reasons that led me to make the decision to come here. 

"They have followed me for several years. With the national team I would ask my colleagues about Atletico. 

"I will be able to bring with me the sense of tactical order I learned in Portugal" 

The 28-year-old played for Benfica for six seasons, helping the club win 10 trophies and scored 41 goals in 252 for the Portuguese champions.
