Liverpool new goalkeeper Loris Karius out for two months
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has broken his hand punching his own player according to reports. 

The £4.7million signing from Mainz was expected to start the season as the Reds ' new No 1, but he will now be out of action for a minimum two months. 

Karius suffered the injury during the friendly against Chelsea in Pasadena on Wednesday night, when he attempted to clear a cross and instead slammed his fist into the head of team-mate Dejan Lovren. 

The German broke a bone in his hand when he connected with the Croatian defender’s bonce and, after a scan here in the States, medics have decided he will need surgery. 

That has led to Liverpool flying him home early from their tour, to schedule the operation as swiftly as possible.
