Arsenal table £12.5m offer for Belgium defender

Arsenal have reportedly made a £12.5m offer for Club Brugge defender Bjorn Engels, according to reports in Belgium. 

According to reports in Belgium, the Gunners have submitted an offer for the full-back as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his defensive options at the north London club. 

The Belgian media outlet claim that the Arsenal head coach is hoping to add further depth at centre-half following Per Mertesacker’s injury setback in pre-season. 

The Gunners manager has been linked with a host of different players in the summer transfer window thus far, although Wenger has only added three new additions to his squad.
