Juventus defender Bonucci rejects Manchester City

Leonardo Bonucci was offered double his wage to join Manchester City but rejected the move as he wants to win the Champions League with Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. 

Manchester City had a bid of £38 million rejected by the Bianconeri during Euro 2016 and returned with an improved offer of £50m, but a wage of over £130,000 a week could not tempt the centre-back. 

Leonardo Bonucci, who has been at Juventus for six seasons, is determined to win the Champions League with the club having failed in the final against Barcelona in 2014-15. 

Juventus will now reward the 29-year-old with improved terms as they look to tie Bonucci down to a longer contract.
