Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has vowed to return from injury stronger after being ruled out for the start of the season.
Karius is facing 10 weeks on the sidelines after breaking his hand following a collision with teammate Dejan Lovren in the Reds' pre-season defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday.
It's a significant blow, both to Karius and to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, who had been set to make the 23-year-old his first choice going into the new season.
Karius returned to the UK on Friday, and will undergo surgery. And the £4.7m man took to Twitter to send a message to his supporters, in which he suggested he may be back sooner rather than later.
He wrote: “I'll do everything to come back as soon as I can. I wont let a broken hand stop me from chasing my dreams! #LK1”
