Southampton Captain Jose Fonte on Manchester United's defensive shortlist

Jose Fonte is among the defenders Manchester United are considering signing, according to The Sunday Times. 

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add an experienced to his squad before the start of the season as he embarks on his debut campaign at Old Trafford. 

Fonte is among those under consideration along with Juventus man Leonardo Bonucci and Zenit's Ezequiel Garay.
