Thierry Henry reacts to Arsenal’s 4-3 loss to Liverpool
Thierry Henry admitted that Arsenal could not cope with Liverpool’s free-flowing attacking play during their 4-3 loss to Jurgen Klopp’s men at The Emirates on Sunday.

Arsenal took the lead in the 31st minute at The Emirates thanks to Theo Walcott’s neat finish just moments after he had seen his penalty saved by Simon Mignolet.

However, Liverpool drew level on the stroke of half-time thanks to Philippe Coutinho’s superb free-kick into the top-left corner.

Liverpool then ran riot early in the second half and raced into a 4-1 lead thanks to goals from Adam Lallana, Coutinho and Sadio Mane.

Arsenal restored some pride as they cut the deficit back down to one goal thanks to strikes from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers, but the Reds held on to take an opening day win.

Henry admitted that he was worried about the threat posed by Liverpool ahead of the game and had his say after the final whistle.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Henry said:
“I was actually worried about Liverpool before the game and from the first half I was a little bit disappointed with them and the way they were playing.

“But then they started to play higher, with one-touch football, and they scored some great goals – Arsenal couldn’t cope with that.

“Then you saw also the other side of Liverpool – they can’t manage a game, they always want to go forward. At the end of the day, they ended up defending for thier life.

“I think what we saw today was two vulnerable teams and Arsenal were a bit more vulnerable than Liverpool.”
