Arsenal close to tying duo to new contracts after four months of negotiations

Arsenal reportedly believe they are close to tying Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez down to new contracts. 

Negotiations with the pair have been going on since May, with their international commitments causing a pause during the summer months. 

However, according to reports, the north Londoners are now confident that the duo will commit their future to the club. 

The recent signing of Ozil’s international teammate Shkodran Mustafi may have played a part in the midfielder’s decision to stay, while Sanchez could put pen to paper despite interest from the likes of Juventus. 

The two players are seen as the Gunners’ only truly world-class talents, and are vital to any success that Arsene Wenger and co. manage to achieve.
