Jenkinson sustained a dangerous knee injury while performing on loan at West Ham United back in January.
He has been out ever since, working hard on getting healthy again.
After observing how Arsenal performed at the weekend in their 3-0 victory over Chelsea, it is no wonder that Jenkinson can’t wait to get out on the training pitch again.
Hector Bellerin’s remarkable display in that victory underlines just how tough it is going to be for Jenkinson to get back into the first team.
The 24-year-old defender’s first task though will be to displace Mathieu Debuchy as second option, and he will have until January to probably force the Frenchman out, and if he cannot, then a possible loan move could be his best path to performing regular football.
