Former Liverpool striker Ryan Babel joins Deportivo La Coruna until December

Ryan Babel has joined Deportivo La Coruna on a short-term deal until the end of the year. 

The former Liverpool forward has signed until December 31 and will provide cover for Joselu, who is facing two months out with a knee injury. 

The 29-year-old had been a free agent since leaving Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

  "I'm very excited,' Babel said on the club's website. 

"It is a dream come true to play in La Liga. I am grateful to Deportivo for the opportunity."
