John Terry to undergo scan on injured ankle ahead of Liverpool clash

Chelsea Captain John Terry will have a scan on Tuesday as the blues wait to discover the extent of his ankle injury. 

John Terry left Swansea on crutches after rolling his ankle in injury time of Sunday's 2-2 draw. 

Chelsea got to work on Terry's ankle almost immediately on Sunday night and were waiting for the swelling to reduce on Monday ahead of the planned scan. 

If the Veteran defender is unable to recover in time for Friday's mouthwatering clash against Liverpool, his absence would open the door for David Luiz to make his second Chelsea debut following his £34m deadline day move from Paris Saint Germain.
