Loic Remy returns to Chelsea just NINE DAYS after joining Crystal Palace

Loic Remy has returned to Chelsea just nine days after joining Crystal Palace due to a thigh injury. 

Crystal Palace have confirmed that the 29-year-old, who had been signed on a season-long loan, will now undergo treatment with Chelsea’s medical team. 

The London outfit have not confirmed the full extent of the French striker’s injury but have revealed that he will be sidelined for ‘a number of weeks’. 

"It is obviously a blow for the player and for us as a squad," said Palace boss Alan Pardew. 

"He has just joined us and we were hoping he would play a big part in the team moving forward. 

"He was looking great in training and this was an innocuous injury which can sometimes happen unfortunately."
