New Arsenal signing Shkodran Mustafi has taken to social media to reveal his delight at playing his first game for the gunners in Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 win over Southampton.
The 24-year-old defender played the full 90 minutes as Arsene Wenger’s men came from behind to secure a win late on against the Saints at The Emirates.
Arsenal trailed due to Petr Cech’s own goal in the 18th minute but Laurent Koscielny equalised for the hosts with a stunning overhead kick.
And Santi Cazorla made the points secure from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time after Olivier Giroud was fouled by Jose Fonte in the box.
Mustafi was making his first appearance for Arsenal since arriving at the club from Valencia late in the summer transfer window.
And the Germany international was clearly delighted by how the game panned out.
Mustafi shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday night and wrote:
“Extremely happy with our last-minute win and my debut! Feels great to play in the @premierleague in front of all you Gooners! #goodstart #importantwin #AFCvSFC @arsenal”
