Rio Ferdinand says Arsenal star is one of Arsene Wenger’s best buys

Rio Ferdinand believes that Alexis Sanchez has already proved himself to be one of Arsene Wenger’s best buys at Arsenal. 

Sanchez has developed into one of the Premier League’s top performers since his arrival at Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in the summer of 2014. 

The Chilean has scored a remarkable 47 goals in his first 100 appearances for the north London club and was on target when he netted the opener in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend.

And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand says Sanchez has proved himself to be one of Wenger’s finest recruits during the Frenchman’s 20 years in charge at The Emirates. 

Writing in his column for The London Evening Standard, Ferdinand said: 

“It is impressive to see that Sanchez has scored 47 goals in his first 100 appearances for the club. 

“There is no doubt that with a statistic like that, he has to be regarded as one of Wenger’s finest buys.”
