Sergio Aguero chasing Champions League glory under Pep Guardiola after agreeing new City deal

Sergio Aguero is adamant new boss Pep Guardiola can help him fulfil his Champions League dream with Manchester City. 

The striker has vowed to remain at City until they are crowned kings of Europe and has agreed a one-year contract extension, tying him to the Etihad until 2020. 

Manchester City reached the semi-finals for the first time last season and Aguero is convinced they can take the final step under Guardiola. 

"I still have four years more here," said the Argentina star. "I hope to achieve it at some point as it's really important for any player. "

Obviously the Champions League is not easy; there are a lot of other fantastic teams. But my idea and club's idea is the same, to try to win this competition. 

"There are other teams who maybe are better candidates - Barcelona, Madrid or Bayern - the type of teams who are always there. 

"But we've been working and improving in the last three years. 

"The club has signed new players and a new coach in order to keep improving and we are ready to reach a Champions League final. 

 "I don't know if it's going to be this year, but we will try."
