Arsenal have identified former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini as Arsene Wenger's successor according to reports in the media.
Roberto Mancini has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan by mutual consent in August after a disappointing spell in charge at the San Siro.
Prior to that, the Italian also had an uninspiring season in Turkey with Galatasaray where he failed to win the SuperLig title.
However, in England Mancini was a big success, winning City's first ever Premier League title in the 2011/12 season as well as the 2010/11 FA Cup.
And according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, the 51-year-old is in the running to succeed Wenger who has just eight months left on his contract.
Mancini is said to enjoy life in the UK after spending four years at City and was spotted at Wembley on Saturday for England's 2-0 win over Malta.
According to reports, Mancini claimed he was looking to return to the Premier League and had the Arsenal job in his sights.
