Enugu Rangers beat El-kanemi Warriors 4 – 0 at the fully packed Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium on Sunday, October 2, to end their 32-year wait for silverware.
Obinna Nwobodo scored a stunning strike and Chisom Egbuchulam scored a hat-trick to help the Flying Antelopes
clinch the League title.
The victory also means that Rangers have now won the league title seven times, equalling a record set by former champions Enyimba.
Rangers have won the League in 1974, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982, 1984 and 2016.
Rivers United who were in the hunt for the league shield failed to get the desired results as they went down against Akwa United.
