Thierry Henry sets target for Arsenal this season

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has told Arsene Wenger that now is the time to win the Premier League title following Arsenal’s long drought. 

The gunners have not lifted the top-flight trophy since Henry was still playing for the Gunners back in the 2003-04 season.

Arsenal gave their title hopes a significant boost on Sunday as they scored a dramatic late winner to beat Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor. 

The North London currently sit third in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign. 

And Henry believes that it is time for the Gunners to end their long wait for the top-flight title this season. 

Speaking about Wenger’s 20th anniversary at Arsenal over the weekend, Henry told Sky Sports: 

“It [Wenger’s record] is amazing. 

“When we talk about Arsenal we have to talk about his legacy and what he’s going to leave behind. He changed the face of the club. 

“The club was successful before under previous managers but he changed the way Arsenal play the game. You go around the world and people always talk about how Arsenal play. 

“Now, it’s time to win the league to make sure that his 20th year will be an amazing one. That’s what’s been missing in the recent years.”
