Liverpool to launch £18.5m Kessie bid

Liverpool are set to launch an £18.5million summer bid for Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports from in Italy. 

Kessie has attracted interest from a number of elite European clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United, while Juventus are keen to keep him in Serie A. 

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is thought to be a big fan of the Ivorian, who made his full international debut at 17 years old, and has stolen a march on his rivals by making an early move. 

They'll face a tough fight should they make their interest official, however, with most of Europe's big clubs keeping an eye on the situation.
