Luis Suarez signs new Barcelona contract

Luis Suarez has signed a lucrative contract extension at Barcelona which will earn the striker a whopping £230,000 per week. 

The Uruguayan, who has scored 97 goals and contributed 48 assists since joining Barca in 2014, is now tied to the Spanish giants until 2021. 

The former Liverpool striker signed his new deal at the Nou Camp on Friday. Suarez will be 34 when the contract expires. 

Barcelona have inserted a buy-out clause of £167.5m to fend off potential suitors for a player who has won eight trophies with the Catalans.
