John Terry makes Aston Villa debut

Former Chelsea defender John Terry has captained Aston Villa for the first time this afternoon. 

John Terry opted to move to Villa Park after leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of his contract. 

The former England International has already set his sights on promotion this season and has been officially named as skipper. 

Villa announced the news ahead of their clash with Shrewsbury on Saturday, where Terry made his debut.
