Arsenal advance in race to sign £20m midfielder ahead of PSG

Arsenal have reportedly advanced in the race to sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer, according to EuroSport. 

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the France international in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his midfield options following the departures of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky. 

Kante was named the Leicester players’s player of the year after an excellent first season in the Premier League. 

The 25-year-old scored one goal and made four assists in 37 Premier League appearances for the newly-crowned champions, attracting interest from some of the Premier League top clubs. 

According to EuroSport, Kante will prefer a move to Arsenal side ahead of interest from French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
