Arsenal reveal Alexis Sanchez’s new shirt number

Alexis Sanchez has been handed the number seven shirt after Arsenal revealed their new Puma home kit for the 2016/17 season on Monday morning. 

Sanchez will replace Tomas Rosicky in the prestigious No7 shirt for the Gunners ahead of the Czech Republic midfielder’s departure this summer. 

The Chilean International was given the No17 shirt following his £35m move to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in 2014. 

The 27-year-old will follow in the footsteps of Arsenal and Republic of Ireland great Liam Brady and Robert Pires to wear the coverted no7 jersey.
