Arsene Wenger dismisses false reports over new Arsenal contract

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has denied he is set to sign a new deal and insisted he will make no decision on his future until the end of next season. 

Arsene Wenger will enter the final 12 months of a three-year contract next season. A report today claimed the Arsenal want him to sign a new two-year deal in October. 

Ahead of the gunner's final game of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday, responded to the reports :

 “It is completely wrong. 

"I don’t know where this comes from. You can treat that as an invention. 

"It is absolutely false. They could have checked with the club and it would have been denied. 

"I think about the next game. I have full commitment for as long as I am under contract." Meanwhile, when asked if next season will determine whether he will extend his 20-year stay in North London, Wenger said: 

"Of course. "What I focus on is to respect my contract and envisage what I will do after. I understand people are interested in that but it's not important? 

"I will see where the club stands at the end of my contract.”
