OFFICIAL: Watford confirm Quique Sanchez Flores will leave the club

Quique Sanchez Flores will not continue as Watford manager next season, it have been confirmed. 

Watford revealed that Quique Sanchez Flores will leave Vicarage Road after their final Premier League match of the season, at home to Sunderland on Sunday. 

The 51-year-old earned plaudits as his side impressed in the first months of the campaign. 

With Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney brilliant in attack ,Watford cruised away from the relegation struggles and, for a time, lingered near the European places. 

But the going has been tougher more recently, with just four league wins since Christmas. 

A club statement read: 

"We would like to thank Quique. "He and the team achieved the target set them at the start of the season of staying in the Premier League for a second year. 

"Quique leaves with all our best wishes for the future and the knowledge he is always welcome at Vicarage Road."
