Stoke City launch £11m move for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel

Premier League outfit Stoke City have made an £11m offer for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel. 

Axel Witsel is keen to leave the Russian club and almost joined AC Milan during the January transfer window. 

However,that deal collapsed though and the 27-year-old is once again on the search for a new club. 

Tottenham have been linked with Witsel for over 18 months but, according to Calcio Mercato, it is Stoke who have made the first move. 

The Potters are said to have lodged a bid of £11m for the central midfielder and they are now waiting to hear Zenit's response.
