Manchester City closing in on £20million deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gundogan

Manchester City are closing in on a £20million deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan. 

The Germany International will become the first signing under new City coach Pep Guardiola - despite being out with a dislocated knee. 

Gundogan will miss Euro 2016 after suffering the injury, which was initially feared to sideline him for five months. 

But a revised diagnosis has suggested the 25-year-old could return to action by the end of August, just two weeks into the new season. 

Manchester City are hoping to tie up a deal for Gundogan in the next few days, before moving on to other targets including Everton’s John Stones.
