Watford and Monaco keen on Lille defender Djibril Sidibe

French outfit Monaco have joined Watford in the race to sign Lille right-back Djibril Sidibe. 

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the best defenders in French football after making 37 Ligue 1 outings last term. 

The form has attracted the attention of Watford and Lyon but now according to France media outlet L'Equipe, Monaco are hot on his heels. 

Monaco club are said to be lining up an offer for Sidibe, who is rated at around £12m by Lille.
