Arsene Wenger delivers transfer update which will please Arsenal fans

Arsene Wenger have revealed that Arsenal remain on the look-out for both attacking and defensive reinforcements in the summer transfer window. 

Arsenal have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as the transfer window gradually edges towards its conclusion. 

Despite all of the speculation, however, Arsenal have thus far only signed midfielder Granit Xhaka, defender Rob Holding and striker Takuma Asano. 

However, despite Arsenal not having yet signed the big-name player that so many of the club’s fans are calling for, Wenger has once again moved to reassure supporters that the Gunners are working hard on their transfer business. 

Speaking in an interview with Arsenal Player, Wenger said: 

“We look for offensive and defensive positions, we are very active in the transfer market, but it’s a long time to go. 

“Everybody has the handbrake on at the moment. It’s a little bit of a poker game until mid-August, in my opinion. We might have to be good at poker.”
