Riyad Mahrez urged to leave Leicester and sign for Arsenal

Danny Mills has urged Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez to join Arsenal this summer if the opportunity presents itself. 

Mahrez has been touted as a target for the gunners in recent days as Arsene Wenger considers bolstering his attacking options at The Emirates. 

Widespread media reports over the weekend – which originated in France – have claimed that Arsenal are keen to bring Mahrez to the north London club this summer and that the player would favour a move. 

Arsenal failed in their bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City earlier in the summer transfer window. 

However, former defender Mills feels that Mahrez should take up the opportunity to move to The Emirates if a move is possible. 

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Mills said: “If I was Jamie Vardy I would have walked to the Emirates. Mahrez should do the same.”
