Arsenal have £13.8m bid rejected by Juventus

Arsenal have had a €16m bid rejected by Juventus for midfielder Mario Lemina, according to reports in Italy. 

According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, the Gunners have failed in a bid to lure the 22-year-old Gabon international to Emirates Stadium in recent days. 

The same report states that Arsenal’s offer was far below Juventus’ €20m (£17.3m) valuation of the player, and that Schalke are also interested in the midfielder. 

Reports of a possible Arsenal bid for Lemina may come as something of a surprise to Gunners fans after the north London club have been mainly linked with defensive reinforcements in recent days. 

Arsenal have been linked with a host of players in recent days as the end of the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
