Photos: Hooligan invades pitch and assaults goalkeeper

A match in Sweden's top flight Allsvenskan league was abandoned on Monday when a masked pitch invader assaulted Ostersund goalkeeper Aly Keita. 

As one of Keita's teammates was preparing to take a throw-in up the pitch at the team's match at Jonkoping Sodra, a spectator left the stands and began running toward toward the keeper. 

Keita's back was turned, and he appeared to only realise what was happening as his attacker was nearly upon him. 

The goalkeeper said he was grabbed by the neck and suffered a blow to the head as he retreated. 

Players from both teams collapsed on the scene to aid Keita, and a steward rushed from the end line to apprehend the pitch invader. 

The steward levelled the attacker with a flying tackle before players and security personnel surrounded him. 

His hands were eventually tied behind his back and he was led off the pitch. 

Keita was too hurt and shaken up to play on, and he didn't need to - the referee abandoned the match. 

'I am shocked and angry. It is awful that something like this could happen,' said Keita.
