Arsenal to table £30m bid for Premier League striker

Arsenal are preparing a £30m bid for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, according to reports in the British media. 

According to reports, Arsene Wenger sees the Ivory Coast international as the solution to the north London club’s long search for a striker this summer. 

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a number of forward players over the summer but have yet to bring in an experienced forward ahead of their Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday. 

The same story says that Arsenal chiefs are urging Wenger to make a bid for the Ivorian as he is one of the few options available at the moment. 

However, the Gunners boss is reportedly not 100 per cent convinced by the 27-year-old forward and whether he would be a good fit for Arsenal. 

Bony has struggled to make an impact at Etihad Stadium following his move from Swansea City in January of last year.
