Jack Wilshere set to miss Arsenal scandinavia tour due to Injury setback

Jack Wilshere is a major doubt for the gunner's tour of Scandinavia following his latest injury setback. 

Arsenal medical staff are confident the England international will not be a long-term absentee and will be ready for the opening weeks of the season. 

Wilshere sustained a knee injury during the club's trip to America, sitting out the weekend win over Chivas. 

Speaking after the clash in Los Angeles, manager Arsene Wenger said Wilshere would travel to Norway and Sweden for the pre-season games against Viking FK and Manchester City. 

But Sportsblog360 understands his place on Thursday's flight to Stavanger is yet to be confirmed as Wenger considers the option of keeping Wilshere in London for treatment. 

Wilshere is hoping for an injury-free season after missing the majority of last term due to an ankle problem. 

And while the knee problem comes as a blow, the injury isn't expected to cause significant delay to his pre-season.
