Swansea reject Everton bid of up to £10m for defender Ashley Williams

Swansea have rejected a bid of up to £10million from Everton for Captain Ashley Williams. 

The Welsh outfit spokesman said: 'We are not looking to sell him and therefore we have turned down the offer currently on the table.' 

Ronald Koeman had identified Williams as a key recruit, but the club will now weigh up whether to increase their offer for the 31-year-old Wales international.

Williams, who turns 32 later this month, enjoyed a fine Euro 2016 captaining Wales to the semi-finals of the tournament in France.
